Context

Minimalist designs often prioritize aesthetics over functionality, leading to confusion and frustration for users. This project addresses the challenges of an overly simplistic refrigerator UI that lacks clear signifiers and button descriptions, making key features difficult to access.

The Challenge

The refrigerator’s UI aimed for a minimalistic design but unintentionally created confusion by omitting clear signifiers and button labels. Users struggled to interact with basic features, like turning off the fridge alarm, due to the absence of intuitive design cues.

Challenges Faced
